We also want to spread the word that the HVAC industry offers excellent career paths for workers. The skilled trades are an underrated source of well-paying, in-demand jobs that can offer young people a way to make a great living. There are many careers available in the industry from designing and manufacturing high-end commercial and residential equipment to being a technician servicing this wide breadth of HVAC equipment.

That’s where we come in. At Modine, we specialize in designing, building, commissioning and servicing high-tech thermal management systems and components. Our highly engineered heating and cooling components, original equipment products, and systems are used around the world.

Our innovative HVAC products continue to advance the market as our engineers design more energy-efficient and intelligent systems. We’re developing sophisticated control systems that give units connectivity and allow them to provide real-time diagnostic and operational information.

To design and manufacture these high-tech systems requires highly skilled, educated employees.

It’s no secret that manufacturers and industries requiring skilled labor forces have had difficulty filling many positions for years. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics has estimated that, by 2028, approximately 114,500 new workers will be needed to fill vacant positions in the plumbing, heating, and cooling industry.

To ensure the availability of skilled workers, Modine takes a hands-on approach when it comes to the training and development of the next generation. We’re also committed to helping keep HVAC professionals current by offering product training opportunities through our Modine University.

At Modine, we see internship, apprenticeship, and co-op programs as a pipeline for finding promising talent to employ. We embrace youth education and are dedicated to building interest in manufacturing and engineering through our training programs. As a company, we’re committed to strengthening the HVAC manufacturing industry so it can continue to be a source of rewarding careers now and in the future.
